League of Women Voters of the Red River Valley
In 1973, a group of civic-minded Fargo-Moorhead women formed the League of Women Voters of the Red River Valley, a local chapter of the national League. They met regularly, often in each others' homes to study local government, public policy issues, and educate others on what they found. Today, this member-driven organization still works to educate the community through programs like First Fridays and candidate forums.
