How We Work
Two important principles shape our work.
The League is nonpartisan. We will not support or oppose any political party or candidate. Learn more with our explanation of Nonpartisanship.
We are also committed to embracing diversity, equity, and inclusion. Over 100 years ago at our founding, we did not embrace this, and continued to segregate and discriminate against Black, Indigenous, and people of color across the country.
Today the League strives to be both transformative and to address historic racism, prioritizing diversity, equity, and inclusion in principle and in practice.
