Protecting Voters. Improving Elections.
We work to ensure a free, fair, and accessible election system for all eligible voters. We envision a democracy where every person has the desire, the knowledge, and the confidence to participate.
Voting Rights
Voting is a fundamental right and all eligible voters should have the equal opportunity to exercise that right. The League is dedicated to ensuring that every eligible voter has the freedom to vote.
Improving Elections
Everyone deserves access to and information about the votes that will shape their communities. We work to improve North Dakota elections through programs, like our statewide election observation program.
Money in Politics
Elections should be about the voters not big money interests. It’s time to limit SuperPACs and secret donors to protect representative democracy. Voters have the right to know who is raising money for which political candidates, how much money they are raising, and how that money is being spent. Resource: ND Campaign Finance Toolkit
Redistricting
We oppose partisan and racial gerrymandering that strips rights away from voters. Resource: ND Redistricting Toolkit
Ethics in Government
Transparency is a key tenet of the League. We advocate for the public’s right to know and for broader public participation in government as a necessary component of decision-making at all levels of government. Resource: Ethics in Government Toolkit
