Approval Voting
Information on Approval Voting in the June 2020 Fargo City Commission election
This year's City of Fargo election is going to be just a little different than we're used to because it's the first time we'll get to use Approval Voting to elect our City Commissioners.
Now, we can choose all the candidates we approve of - not just one or two.
-
Like several candidates? Vote for them all.
-
Only like one candidate? Vote for just one.
-
Only know who you don't want? Vote for everyone else.
Worried your favorite doesn't have a chance? Vote your favorite plus a few more you like. In the end, those receiving the most votes will win, just like they always have. It's that simple.
