After voter suppression reports from members of Cass County's New American and immigrant communities in the June Primary Election, the League of Women Voters of the Red River Valley, the ACLU of ND, and ND Voices Network partnered to coordinate an election observation program for the November General Election.

 

In October 2022, the state's Attorney General issued an opinion that poll workers could not ask voters to prove their citizenship, which helped prevent this voter suppression issue in the General Election. The election observation program continued as a look at Cass County's voting process as a whole.
