Taped in Prairie Public Television's Fargo studio, Matt Olien moderates debates between local candidates. Including: North Dakota Governor, North Dakota U.S. Senate Seat, North Dakota U.S. Congressional Seat, Minnesota 7th District Congressional Seat, and North Dakota Initiated Measure 1.

Candidates:	Democratic incumbent Earl Pomeroy versus Republican challenger Duane Sand, who also ran against Kent Conrad for U.S. Senate in 2000.

	Minnesota 7th District Congressional Seat

Candidates:	Democratic incumbent Collin Peterson versus an as yet to be named Republican challenger. The Republican endorsement will be made following the Minnesota State Primary Election in September.

	North Dakota Initiated Measure 1
Date/ Time:	October 5 at 7:00 p.m. (CT). rebroadcasts: October 14 at 8 p.m. October 19 at 7:30 p.m. October 31 at 4:30 p.m.
Topic:	Scheduled debaters are Christina Kindel of Bismarck with the North Dakota Family Alliance which favors a vote that would define marriage in North Dakota as between one man and one woman. Scheduled debater for a vote on the measure is Robert Uebel of Fargo, representing Equality North Dakota.

Presidential Debates

Sponsered by The Commission on Presidential Debates. The (CPD) was established in 1987 to ensure that debates, as a permanent part of every general election, provide the best possible information to viewers and listeners. Its primary purpose is to sponsor and produce debates for the United States presidential and vice presidential candidates and to undertake research and educational activities relating to the debates. The organization, which is a nonprofit, nonpartisan corporation, sponsored all the presidential debates in 1988, 1992, 1996 and 2000.
